Kroger confirmed on Monday that a $250 coupon making the rounds on social media is a scam.
“This giveaway is not affiliated with or supported by the Kroger Company. We recommend not engaging with the site or providing any personal information. Our team is actively working to address this issue,” the company said in a statement online on Monday. 
It is not yet clear how many customers have been impacted by the fake coupon. However, Kroger’s Facebook post had been shared over 30,000 times as of Tuesday morning.
