Toronto punk clothing PUP have actually revealed their 3rd full-length, Morbid Stuff. The follow-up to 2016’s The Dream Is Over is due out April 5th on the Toronto band’s brand-new label, Little Dipper (through Rise Records/BMG).

PUP tape-recorded the album with producer/mixer Dave Schiffman (Weezer, The Mars Volta) as they went into diva Stefan Babcock’s fight with anxiety. Fans of the band’s lively take a look at life’s psychological wasteland need not stress, nevertheless, as a news release guarantees the effort consists of “all the fury and event you’ve familiarized, however rooted in understanding of where that fury originates from.” The people are still teetering on the precipice of total desolation with manic pleasure, they’re simply more familiar with their footing — — a state genuinely befitting the title, when you think of it.

Such holds true with the LP’s lead single, “Kids”. Charging happily towards madness, Babcock yell-sings about “browsing my method through the mind-numbing truth of a godless presence.” As constantly with PUP, the track accepts the torment by covering it in melodic, driven punk chords and thunderous gang-vocals. As Babcock describes in a news release, after all, it’s just together that you can discover to endure this “desolate world:”

“‘“ ‘ Kids ’ is a love tune from one nihilistic depressive to another. It’s about what occurs when you come across the only other individual on the face of this godless, desolate world that believes whatever is as twisted and as screwed up as you do. And thanks to them, the world begins to appear simply a little less bleak. Just somewhat — — it’s still quite fucked up to be sincere.” ”
